Will Jesus return before the Day of Judgement?

Eesa peace be upon him, Jesus, will come down to earth at the end of time as a major sign of the Final Hour. There are many authentic Prophetic traditions and rulings in the Qur'an regarding Eesa's peace be upon him return to earth. As Allah mentions: "And verily, he is a sign of the Final Hour." [Qur'an, az-Zukhruf 43:61]

It is reported from Jabir bin Abdullah may Allah be pleased with him that the Beloved Prophet ﷺ said, "A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. Jesus, son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: 'No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah.'" [Sahih Muslim 156]

The advent of the Dajjal, the Pseudo-Messiah, is also among the major signs of the Final Hour. Then Eesa peace be upon him would descend from the heaven and kill him.

The Beloved Prophet ﷺ said: "The Final Hour will not come to pass until you witness ten signs of which are, … the descending of Eesa, son of Maryam from heaven, …" [Sahih Muslim 2901]
